Solid Retainer
Use oval collar accessories.
Points, chisels & steel
Start with the end that goes into your hammer. Match its shank and collar first, then choose the cutting tip and length for your job.

Chipping hammers
The retainer is on the hammer. The collar is the raised shoulder on the chisel that the retainer holds. The shank is the end that fits inside the hammer.
“Round shank” and “round collar” mean different things. Either collar style below can have a hex or round shank. Match both.

Select the matching connection to see working ends, lengths and part numbers. Tap any shank diagram to enlarge it.
Clay diggers & paving breakers
The first number is the hex size measured flat to flat. The second is the insertion length to the collar. For example, 1-1/8″ × 6″ describes the end that enters the hammer, not the full length of the chisel.
Check your hammer’s listed chuck size. The model name or weight class alone does not confirm which steel fits.

Rivet busters
The rivet buster steel in this section uses the Jumbo 11X connection. Confirm that shank in your tool’s specifications before choosing a point or chisel.
A rivet buster’s stroke length is a tool specification; it does not identify the accessory length you need.

After you have matched the connection
These photos show the working end of the accessory. Choose the matching shank first; the tip photo alone does not tell you whether it fits.

A pointed end for breaking concrete and other hard material.

A narrow cutting edge for controlled breaks in concrete.

A wider cutting edge. Check the blade width and intended material in the listing.

A broad, curved end for digging and loosening dense clay or ground.
More specialized ends are listed for each tool model. For more help, read how to match points and chisels. General application reference: Atlas Copco working-tool guide ↗.
The last check
For the points and chisels in this catalog, the listed length is measured under the collar, toward the working tip. It is a different measurement from the insertion length shown in the shank diagrams.
For example, a 1-1/8″ × 6″ shank and a 12″ under-collar length describe two different parts of the same accessory.
Use the complete chart to compare the four shank and collar combinations by part number.
Solid Retainer: oval collar. Quick Change Ball Retainer: round collar. Match the collar and shank—these connections are not interchangeable. Lengths are measured under the collar.
