Pumps
Compare pneumatic pumps for water-removal applications using the model’s pumping specifications and connection details. Review head, flow information, minimum operating depth and the opening needed to position the pump. Air inlet, exhaust and discharge connections are separate measurements, and the listed pumps do not all use the same discharge thread. Open a model to check the complete installation requirements. Selection Guide
Choosing A Pneumatic Pump
Choose around the liquid, lift and discharge arrangement before comparing the air supply.
1 Describe The Pumping Job
Identify the liquid, required flow, lift and any solids or contamination.
2 Check Installation Fit
Compare the opening, minimum water depth and discharge connection with the jobsite.
3 Match The Air Setup
Review air consumption, inlet and exhaust connections, and the specified hose size.
Pumps Questions & Answers
Which Pump Specifications Should I Compare First?
Start with the liquid and required duty, then review flow and head information for the model. Also check the minimum opening and operating depth. These determine whether the pump can be positioned and used in the available space.
What Is Pump Head?
Head expresses the pumping duty as an equivalent liquid height. Use the manufacturer’s performance information for the actual lift and discharge arrangement. A maximum-head figure should not be read as a promise of maximum flow at that height.
Are The CP 0010 And CP 0020 Discharge Connections The Same?
No. The current catalog lists a 2-inch NPT discharge for the CP 0010 and a 2-1/2-inch BSP discharge for the CP 0020. Match both thread type and size when selecting the discharge connection.
Can Every Pump Handle Slurry Or Chemical Liquids?
Check the exact model’s permitted liquids and solids capability. Do not infer chemical compatibility or slurry-handling ability from the words “air powered” or “submersible.” Provide the liquid details when asking for a recommendation.
Which Connections Are For Air And Which Are For Water?
Read the air inlet, air exhaust and fluid discharge as separate connections. Their sizes and thread forms can differ on the same pump. Use the model drawing and specifications when identifying a port.
What Details Help With A Pump Parts Request?
Provide the model, part number and any serial information, then identify the component on the matching drawing. Include the discharge configuration if there are several versions of the pump. Find Pump Drawings →
